Hoka Hey Fundraising

Donate to the Boys and Girls Club of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation

Wacantognaka, the Lakota word for generosity, to contribute to the wellbeing of others, has always been a part of the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge™ plan.

Not wanting the challenge to be a race, but more of a personal challenge, prizes for rider placement was eliminated in 2014 and the main focus shifted to individual growth and fundraising.

Between 2014 and 2024 the Riders of the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge™ have raised over $2.5 Million. In 2024 our riders raised over one million dollars.

The focus of Medicine Show LLC has always been to bring awareness to Indigenous people. In 2026, the Hoka Hey Organization will be working on behalf of the Boys & Girls Club of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation who’s mission it is to assist in the development and enhancement of the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical well-being of all young people in the surrounding area by providing a safe positive place to learn and grow.

Please help the Boys and Girls Club of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation in their efforts to promote indigenous culture, community involvement, and in its recognized role as an advocate for youth by donating generously. To start this effort, the riders and guest of the 2025 Rendezvous rasied over $25,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.

In recognition of those who excell at fundraising an honorary award for fundraising was established and awarded for the first time in 2021, WACANTOGNAKA (wash-on-tog-naka), the Lokota word for Generosity; to contribute to the wellbeing of one’s people and all life by sharing and giving freely. This sharing is not just of objects and possessions, but of emotions like sympathy, compassion, and kindness. It also means to be generous with one’s time. The act of giving and not looking for anything in return can make you a better person and give you a joy that can come from no other place.
